Russell brings almost 40 years of global experience working in the oil and gas industry, culminating as BP’s VP for Global Projects, working on fields from the earliest stage of development through to mature production.

Russell is an Executive Advisor at Rockflow providing advice on project development, decision making, assurance, reporting, and project management. Russell brings almost 40 years of global experience working in the oil and gas industry, culminating as BP’s VP for Global Projects, working on fields from the earliest stage of development through to mature production. He has experience in both gas production, conventional oil production, enhanced oil recovery, and renewable energy projects, including carbon capture use and storage, offshore wind, and hydrogen.

Russell is an accomplished projects professional with a wealth of experience initiating, leading, and delivering large scale (multi $Bn), complex Energy and Infrastructure Sector projects in global locations with diverse technical, commercial, fiscal, social, and regulatory environments.

Russell holds degrees in Geology from UC Swansea, and Project Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a member of the SPE, AAPG, PESGB and the Major Projects Association in London.
