Rockflow strengthens its market-leading expert witness and dispute advisory capabilities
Rockflow is delighted to announce the appointment of Zoe Young as Expert Services Practice Lead, bringing over 25 years of technical, commercial and expert-witness experience across the global downstream oil and gas sector. An experienced chemical engineer, consultant and project manager, Zoe has a distinguished track record supporting high-stakes international disputes, leading multidisciplinary consulting projects, and building successful expert witness practices.
Zoe joins Rockflow after more than a decade as Director of Reeve Young Consulting, where she delivered expert evidence in major international arbitrations and UK High Court proceedings. Her expert witness work includes valuations of refining assets, testimony in the East Mediterranean Gas versus Egypt disputes, and specialist advisory on crude oil and refinery economics. Alongside expert work, she has delivered strategic consulting assignments, feasibility studies, crude valuation analysis, and bespoke training programmes for clients including CEPSA, DESNZ, Bureau Veritas, NNPC and the Energy Institute.
Most recently, Zoe served as Head of Energy at Martello Expert Witness Services, where she successfully built and led the energy practice. Under her leadership, the practice expanded from fewer than 10 experts to almost 100 across oil, gas, power, commodities and renewables. She was instrumental in securing expert appointments in complex international disputes and introduced specialist experts to leading Magic Circle and international law firms.
Prior to this, Zoe spent 12 years at Gaffney, Cline & Associates, delivering major consulting assignments and expert reports across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Her expert work included testimony at ICSID, refinery sale disputes, earning-loss claims, and gas contract indexation cases. She also led strategic reviews, LNG investment assessments, market studies, due diligence for refinery acquisitions, gas monetisation studies and petrochemical feasibility analyses—often managing multidisciplinary teams and complex commercial–technical scopes.
Commenting on her appointment, Zoe said: “I’m thrilled to join Rockflow’s team of highly respected experts. Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about helping organisations make confident decisions in uncertain and technically challenging environments. Rockflow has an enviable reputation for its Expert Services that are truly independent, methodical, and grounded in real-world subsurface and commercial experience. I look forward to expanding the Rockflow offering into other areas of the oil and gas value chains whilst continuing to support clients with robust analysis, technical assurance, and clear, defensible advice.”
Andy Spriggs, CEO of Rockflow, added: “Zoe is an exceptional addition to Rockflow. She brings an outstanding combination of technical depth, commercial insight and expert-witness experience. She has built expert practices from the ground up, delivered evidence in some of the most complex international disputes, and advised clients on significant downstream commercial issues. Her leadership will significantly strengthen Rockflow’s Expert Services team and enhance our ability to support clients with trusted, authoritative and independent expertise.”
