Lewis Gillhespy is a consultant who offers his expertise in Geoscience, Digital Transformation, Project Management, and Commercial M&A to the Energy Industry. He has 20 years’ experience of increasingly progressive leadership positions at Suncor Energy, a large multi-national E&P and mining company.

 

 

Lewis’ passion in applying Lean Management and Continuous Improvement principles to simplify subsurface process, data, and technology is increasingly sort after by clients wanting to thrive in the digital age.  By reducing waste and generating high-trusting data, clients are able to generate significant value through low-cost operatorship and sustain a competitive advantage through new data-informed ways of working.

Lewis has a strong track-record of delivering value and solving complex solutions in geoscience, project management and commercial M&A.  This is demonstrated by holding the position of Global Chief Geologist, Project Manager accountable of a complex multi-billion $ project, and leading commercial M&A opportunities including successful acquisition of the Rosebank oil field.

As a practitioner of servant leadership Lewis focuses on clients’ needs to help create value and identify root cause solutions to issues.  Based on the core values of high technical quality, high service quality, honesty, and integrity Lewis enjoys his work in solving complex Energy Industry problems.

Lewis holds an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from Imperial College, a BSc. in Geological Science from Leeds University and attended the Harvard Business School Leadership Program in Boston.
